A zodiac is a group of constellations produced in a certain time of the year that are said to look like animals and other designs. There are twelve zodiacs, one for each month of the yearly cycle. The zodiac is located in the path of both the moon and planets such as Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. The movements of these planets and the sun through the zodiac are believed to be a method of explaining and predicting events that occur on earth.
